Tacit Tuesdays: 16

Well, thanks to you guys, it looks like I'm going to have to take up photography again just so I have pictures for Tacit Tuesdays!  Haha.  I've taken a break from taking photos and now I'm going though the ones on my computer thinking:  "Already posted that...Eww, I should delete that one...Wow, that was a long time ago...Already posted, already posted, already posted..."  So these are from about a year and a half ago when we went to the zoo.  We have been there since, but these pictures are all from over a year ago.  So, enjoy these pictures and I hope they warm your heart. =)

    2. I like squirrels, even if they do tear up trees there very cute. =) City people need to get out more if that's impressive to them. =)

    3. Haha! Yes, squirrels are cute! But they are trouble too! There was a boy at our church that when he was 15-ish (He is almost 18 now) he used to hunt and eat squirrels! He would take them to school in his lunch box! (Cooked, of course!) That was kind of a gross story, sorry! LOL =P Yeah, goats aren't that impressive after you have owned them! Haha! =D

    1. Thanks, Eb! I'm glad you like the lion! =D Yes, the zoo is a little unusual. It is quite small and in the middle of a big city. But it has a really nice playground beside it, and it is small enough that you can have a nice afternoon. Some zoos are so big that it takes HOURS...and HOURS to get through. What kind of animals are in zoos in the UK?

  5. I especially love the lion one. :) You're making me want to head out to the zoo sometime with my camera.
I am a serious photographer as well. I don't post anything on my blog much because most of what I do is portraits and I don't have the courage to ask if I can post their faces on my blog for the world to see. :) haha.
I have no idea where you are as far as photography goes (like what camera you have, lenses, auto or maul, ext.) so most of what I am about to share is probably old news.

From the looks of these, it looks like you have a DSLR. To be a photographer, you obviously need one. :) If this is a super nice point and shoot (I honestly have no clue what kid of camera you have) I would recommend a Nikon (like D3000, 3200, 7100, ect.) or Canon Rebel.

If you are using a DSLR, the next step is to get a 50mm or 35mm lens. If you just go to amazon and type the camera brand you have and 35mm or 50mm lens, you will find it. You HAVE to have a prime lens to do serious photography. Nobody can disagree with that. :)

The next step is shooting in Manual mode (the "M" on the camera dial). This is when you whose your settings (ISO, aperture value, and shutter speed) instead of the camera choosing them for you.

Then comes post processing. I'd recommend Lightroom hands down.

You probably knew a lot of that. Sorry :) If you have any questions, just holler
