Hi!

You may have noticed that I changed the format of my blog a little bit!  I just felt like a change.  What do ya' think?  I also finally got my blog button figured out! =D  YAH!!  Haha

I don't really have that much to say...My dad is really sick...My grandparents left yesterday...I stayed home from church today, and tonight I set up plans to go to a friend's house on Tuesday to have salmon stew...That's about it.  Oh, and I need to go to bed!  Haha

The goats are doing good.  It's cold...like, 20s...brrrrr.....

Well, that's all for tonight!

    5. I don't know if she has or not, but I'm pretty sure she did. I hope it is like the first year, rather than like last year. Last year was really good and I learned a lot, but because it was a series, I am one of those people that feels like I have to go to all of them. As with the first year, it was just where you could go to any speaker you wanted, but there was also one that was especially for teens. But they were all different speakers, just like the adults. Okay, that was a long ramble. LOL Hey, you said Ya'll! Haha =) <3

    6. I hope it is like the first year as well. I didn't feel like I could go to any of them after the first one because I missed some of them in between... Yes I said y'all! I was born in SC! So, I am a "true" southerner! :P ;) =) <3 lylas!

    9. Oh, yes, I'm SURE you have no idea what I'm talking about. ;) Haha! Yes!! I can't wait! Drivers Permit here I come! haha! My brother keeps asking what I will do if I fail the test. ACK! Some encouragement, he is! Haha. Yes, I know the owner of the blog, and I'm sure they don't mind the long string of comments! ;) =D

    10. You know the owner of the blog?!?!? Wow, I'm shocked!! joking! ;) So, I take it that you're a little excited about getting a drivers permit... ;) I am sure you will pass with flying colors (I wonder where that expression (pass with flying colors) ever originated from.) =D

    11. Haha! Well, your researching, internet savvy, best friend just figured that out for you! (Actually I just typed it into a search engine and loaded up 10 sites. Most agreed and this makes sense so I'm going with it! Haha) To "pass with flying colors" originated around the 1500-1700's when a ship who had defeated an enemy would fly its flag, and it would pass the towns/colonies with "flying colors." So if they did well, they would pass with flying colors. I guess it just stuck. Interesting, right? I should research some other phrases like that and do a blog post on it. Do any other phrases come to mind? =D Yes, I may be a tad excited! Haha! =D

    12. That is so cool! (just like my researching, internet savvy, best friend!) Um, other phrases.... hmm... Jump the gun (I already know (or think I know) where this originated from, but other people might not... idk... Or the phrase "Shut the door! Were you born in a barn?" But that one is a bit self-explanitory. I can't think of any at the moment (I'll think of them all right as I'm falling asleep, of course, lol) =)

    13. Haha! Aw, thanks! Yeah, I found a website with a lot of different phrases. Some day I'll sit down and research them all! I look up where the term "Charlie-horse" came from. (You know, a pain in your leg or wherever. At least, that's what we call it.) It originated from a baseball player. Who knew, right? haha. It interesting to see how little things like that just stuck. =)
