Hiya! Welcome to (Almost) Perfectly Pink! How are you today? =)

Hi! Thanks you so much for having me! I am doing great, thank you!

How old are you currently?

I just turned fourteen years old in July! So far I’m loving it, and I’m looking forward to starting high school soon.

Do you have any siblings?

I do! I have two sisters (both older than me), and two older brothers and a younger brother. Although, it doesn’t feel like I have this many all the time, because only two of my siblings still live under the same roof as I do – one of my older sisters and my younger brother.

If you could live in the world of any book you've read, which one would it be? (Bible Books included.)

Whoa! This is a really great question! It’s also hard... Well, this may sound cheesy, but I think it’d be really cool to live in Narnia for a while, especially if all the characters from the movies and books were there too. If not in Narnia, I think it would be kind of cool to live in the world of one of Martha Finley’s series – probably the Millie Keith series. Millie lived in a dusty frontier town in America in the 1830s. To be able to live there with her and tag along on all her adventures and be around her family and friends would be really fun to me.

Do you like bananas? Humus?

Who doesn’t like bananas?! Okay, probably a lot of people – but, yes, I do occasionally eat bananas, although, they aren’t exactly my favorite fruit. I love pineapple! And humus? Haha! We actually have a case of humus in the fridge right now... I like eating it with vegetables such as carrots, snap peas, and fresh, uncooked broccoli.

Have you ever had a penpal?

A month and a half ago I would have answered ‘no.’ But, as of late July this year, I got a penpal! We have a bunch of fun emailing each other. It’s great!

Favorite genre of music? (example: country, classical, rock, etc)

Christian pop and worship. I love The City Harmonic and Danny Gokey. If you haven’t heard any songs from either of the bands/musicians I just mentioned, go check them out! They’re fantastic! Oh, I also sometimes enjoy classical music, such as Mozart and Beethoven or Bach. 

Do you live in the city, in the country, or somewhere else?

I live in the middle of the two – if you drive less than five miles one way you’d run into a big city, but if you drive five miles the other way, you’ll be running into rolling hills and farmland!

What do you like best about the place you live? What do you like the least?

Well, I live in a really nice apartment complex, so there is a theater room with a huge screen you can go to basically anytime you want to watch movies and a huge pool that is deserted most of the time, so I love it – especially the TV room! It’s like having your own theater. But living in an apartment also means there are other people around – making noise! Either way, I  totally love it here!

What is one thing that you would like to do someday, and what is something you can do to reach that goal?

I want to be a published author someday – sooner rather than later! So, today, I can continue to write – in my journal, on my blog, or in my Word document to get better at what I love to do. Oh, reading also helps! I’ll never stop reading.  

What is your favorite season?

I love Fall – it’s cool, but it’s not too cold, the leaves are turning different colors, and Starbucks bring back Pumpkin Spice lattes.

Do you share a bedroom with a sibling, or do you have your own room?

I do share a room with my older sister. It’s lots of fun!

How long have you had your blog?

I have only had my blog about three to four months now. I started it in June of this year.

What inspired the name?

Easy question, not so easy question – it was probably multiple things. But most of all it was likely my love of adventure novels and traveling, or just the idea and hope to have adventures of my own, that inspired the name. I was using a temporary name for my blog before I actually started it, but it still had the word ‘adventure’ in it. Either way, I think my blog’s name would’ve ended up having something to do with adventure if it wasn’t what it is now – Adventures Beyond the Horizon.

What do you like writing about the most on your blog?

The books and authors I love for one thing. I can go on and ON about my favorite books and authors. But I also enjoy talking about my own writing and reading experiences.

What do you like best about having a blog?

Hmm...I’m not really sure, actually! I like giving people information about the books I read, and it’s also just fun reading comments from others and replying to them! I also really enjoy putting together the posts.
