Guest post: Julia Ryan - Nice to meet you all!

Hi everyone!

My name is Julia Ryan, some of you may have seen my blog or some on my comments on Jessica's blog here.  I blog over at Writing For His glory.
Some of my most favorite things include reading.  I especially love reading about history! In that picture above I am reading about a man named Nate Saint. No, he isn't Santa Claus. ;) And, it isn't a fake name.  Believe me, the story is powerful!
I also enjoy being outside and trying to capture God's beauty through a little man made invention called a camera. ;)
Though, put aside a few little hobbies and deep down I am just a country gal trying to live my life to please Christ.  At times it might be washing dishes and doing schoolwork, and at other times, it might be encouraging a friend or sibling.
Thank you Jessica for allowing me to guest post and thank you for reading my post! I assure you, if you are guest posting on Jessica's blog, I'll be reading and commenting.

I pray you all have a wonderful Sunday! ♥

Love in Christ,
 Julia Ryan♥

    1. Hahaa! I love his story as well! It was written by Janet and Geoff Benge. Have you read the 'Christian Heroes then and now' series? I really enjoy them. :) I am so glad you liked the pictures. Yes, it does feel a little odd not having Jessica posting on her blog, but we will see her soon! :D

    3. I believe I have read their Amy Carmichael one. I really didn't enjoy it, but I read it quite a few years ago. :P I read their one about Laura Ingalls Wilder, and I learned a bunch of things I never knew! I really liked it. :) Which is your favorite book in the whole series?

    6. Sorry, I have to jump in: I LOVE the "Christian Heroes Now and Then" Series!! We have read a TON of them. We own, like, a gazillion. We have some I haven't even read yet! But the same publisher has a different series called the International Adventures. It is autobiographies of missionaries, and so they are more recent missionaries, like, from the 1960's and earlier. Which is really cool, no only to read it from their perspective, but also they are recent people, so it makes me feel more like, "These people are like me!" Rather then thinking, "Well, that was 200 years ago. Things are much different now." Anyway, love both those series. The end. ;)

Jessica: I don't mind you jumping in. =D I love the style they do, its so awesome! =D Cool, now I have to go look up that series.... Thanks Jessica! =D

    8. Mikayla: A good friend of mine told me that Lottie Moon was really interesting, so when I checked my library and they didn't have it, she was sweet enough to send it to me! I cannot wait to read it. :) I know, they are like some of the best writers ever!

Jessica: We are pleased to have to jump in! :D I cannot believe you own them all! You are SO blessed!! ♥ I haven't heard of International Adventures, I am going to check my library right now. ;) I will tell you what I think of them! :D
